Elijah Angelov is an interdisciplinary artist and designer. His practice reflects his time growing up in Seattle, Washington as a Bulgarian American Transgender man. His art is deeply intertwined with nature, boyhood, gender, and memory. He is interested in the relationship between nature and self-identity. The ways in which materials like leather, wood, rock, provide shelter and support when navigating growth and hardship. The ways in which these natural materials can be collaberated with to support and care for people in different forms. His works include themes of self-exploration and navigation of identity, connection and relationship to family, community and connection to nature.
